It's beginning to get chilly here in Cheyenne, so we decided to have one last outside summer adventure. After borrowing some hiking packs from some very gracious friends, we packed a picnic, and headed out! We had heard that the hidden falls trail that follows crow creek was one of the best in the park. It was not a lie! That trail is beautiful, and we highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
Looking so cheerful at the beginning of the hike. Our legs didn't feel like jelly yet.
The view from where we parked.
Someone had told us it was a mile each way. It turns out the hike was just over two miles each way. That's a big difference when you're carrying 30 lbs. haha
The falls were beautiful.
Enjoying our picnic.
The kids were exhausted by the end of the hike (as were we). I was impressed that Lydia could sleep sitting up!
I think we will make this a labor day tradition!
